INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS FOR TEENAGERS.

Mindfulness or meditation can be a tool to promote ethical values, spirituality, critical thinking and education. It helps us to know ourselves better, to listen ourselves.

SOME BASIC STEPS TO FOLLOW:

  1.  Sit down: straight back, soles of feet on the floor, don’t cross your legs, hands on your legs.
  2. Very important: keep still and relaxed while the length of the meditation.
  3. Breathing: Breath by your nose, calmly and deeply.
  4. Try not to think of anything, just feel your breath, how you inflate your belly when inhaling and how to put your belly flat when exhaling. If some idea comes to mind, just try to rub it out by starting to remain without thinking again.
  5. Feel peace and concentration at the same time.
  6. Notice how you control your body and your mind.
  7. Remove any distractions and noise.

REMEMBER:

  1. MEDITATION helps you to focus on what you are doing in each moment.
